Any student who has passed class 12th or its equivalent exam in 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 can apply for the entrance exam. Total number of attempts for JEE Main Candidates can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years and JEE Main 2022 exam is expected to be conducted in two attempts (April and May).

In tier 2 or 3, youve to personally develop yourself and lookout for various courses related to your field and scope of that course, Its better to choose CS/IT from tier 2 or 3 colleges because there is no scope of ME/CIVIL/EC (the worst) and learn coding irrespective of your branch (read my other answers for detailed analysis). Also maintain a CGPA around 8.0 or above 75% in B.Tech to get in a good company or for applying for a better internship or college.
