Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the general category under All India, the opening rank was 25892 and the closing rank was 33065. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. Admission to BTech (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying for while checking for cut-offs.

The Joint Admission Process of UCEED 2026 will have five regular seat allotment rounds.

Also, any updates on SPOT round may only be notified by IIT Bombay at the end of the 5th round of seat allotment. Note that the SPOT round will be held only if there are vacant seats left after the complexion of the five regular rounds.

The allotment of seats during SPOT round will be allocated as per the merit rank of the candidate. However, the allotment will also be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Now,

X %/9.5=CGPA

For SGPA,

Credits (grade points) gained *total credits for particular subject=y

Likewise you will get y1, y2, y3 etc.

Now,

Y1+Y2+Y3/total credits=SGPA

At MIT ADTU Pune - Art Design & Technology University, if you have taken permission before practical exam you can give that perticular exam with another batch's students. But if you are absent for written internal exam 0 marks will be considered for that perticular subject.

According to the records this happens very rarely. But if anyone fails in internal exam that particular subject will be considered as backlog. Make sure you attend lectures regularly and complete all the assignments and at least attend all internal exams.

The registration fee for UCEED counselling 2026 is INR 4,000. Fees have to be paid in online mode. Candidates will also have to pay seat-acceptance fee, which is separate from the counseling fee.

The following five institutes are taking part in UCEED 2025 counselling process, known as the Joint Admission Process, conducted by IIT Bombay:

  • IIT Bombay

  • IIT Guwahati

  • IIT Hyderabad

  • IIT Delhi

  • IIITDM Jabalpur.

The participating institutes will not consider scores of other entrance exams for the admission process. This means, to be eligible for admission to the B.Des offered by the participating colleges, the candidates need to have secured a merit rank in UCEED 2025. The allotment of seats to the B.Des programme will be based on the merit rank of the candidate in the UCEED 2025 exam and choices selected at the time of counseling registration.

The counseling registration window will be open from March 14-31, 2025.

As part of the counseling registration process, the candidate has to select their choice of participating colleges in the order of priority.

The cutoff ranks 2023 for BTech (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur - National Institute of Technology other than the General category are - 11202 for OBC, 48731 for SC, 675 for ST, and 10593 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

The counseling for UCEED 2026 will be held as a Joint Seat Allotment process by IIT Bombay.

The Joint Admission Process will have five seat allotment rounds.  

The seat allotment for Round I will be declared around the 2nd week of April 2026.

Candidates who are allotted seats have to pay the seat acceptance fees to confirm their seats. There is no option to withdraw seats in the last round.

All the five participating institutes of UCEED 2026 are participating in the counseling process.

For 2023, the cut-off was 9809for General category candidates in the All India quota for BTech (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur. For female candidates in the general category under All India quota, 16038 was the closing rank. BTech cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Bombay may conduct any complementary seat allotment round for UCEED counseling only if there are vacant seats left after the five regular seat allotment rounds. Note that, IIT Bombay will conduct FIVE seat allotment rounds. The seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of the candidate in UCEED 2026 and campus selected at the time of counseling registration. Candidates who qualify in UCEED 2026 exam can participate in counseling.
