Please remember as the medium of education in American universities is english so all the international students whose first or native language is not english have to take TOEFL test to prove their english language proficiency.

1. If you switch over to CBSE board now, you need to start from scratch, i.e class XI.
2. If you are not satisfied with your score, you can sit for Improvement Exams which is a way to improve your class 12th result by giving the board exam again next year.
You can give improvement exam for one subject or all five subjects, its your choice.
You cannot give improvement exam of additional subject and your practical marks will be carried forward for the next year’s result so you have to prepare only for the theory part.
The exam is same as regular board exams and you get a whole year to prepare for the exam.
