Firstly and importantly, please remember that no exam is difficult. It's our preparation that matters. Secondly, for GATE syllabus is that of graduation. How will you start preparing for it in 2nd year? My advice firstly concentrates on studying for graduation. After this only prepare for GATE.

MAT will be considered for Galgotia University. Preference will be given to CAT/Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)/MAT/Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). The minimum graduation requirement is 60% but you can apply for direct admission to Galgotia University. You should be able to get admission with such a good score in MAT. Government colleges are preferred over any kind of private colleges so obviously COE0-Pune is a better option for mechanical engineering than MSIT. However, you may compare the colleges here.
