Why do you study Physics? simply to understand the physical system. Once you understand it, you come in contact a principle or theory that you can use as per your need, for example applying Newton's laws to build a car. The work of mechanical engineer is to understand the problem i.e. the need and design the system in the form of a machine that will fulfill our needs. That machine can be made better and better as the technology advances. Now furthermore, you can combine mechanics with biology and with electrical or electronics too. It is very scoping and evergreen and you should go for it, best of luck.Regards/

What do you find in you? first decide that and then decide the discipline in which you can do something. Every engineering discipline is important and thus has scope. If you think market then keep in mind that this market can be changed at any time. Scope has no relevance with market but you should concentrate for better hard-work only. We get only with hard-work and just having a degree demanded in market is not enough because you are required to work and that is the truth.Cheer.
