*As tax is one of the main incomes of the Indian government, the duty of a sales tax officer is to collect tax from the citizens of India.
Taxation sector in India offers very good job opportunities to appropriate talents from the field of commerce and related fields.
*How to prepare for exam and interview?
Candidates who are appearing for the interview and examination must be prepared in topics like General English, basic arithmetic, general knowledge etc. In addition to this, questions will be also asked on topics like General policy, Geography and History. Subjects like Economics and Scientific Research will also be included.
Candidates can prepare for the written exam by reading materials on the topic. They can also go for coaching in centers nearby.
At the time of the interview, the candidates must make sure that they answer to the point.
