The PGDM General and PGDM International Business accepts only CAT and GMAT scores. The cutoff of CAT was 75 percentile last year, and that of GMAT was around 600 to 620 for the PGDM General program, and was little less for the International Business.
So with 80 percentile in CAT, we can be very sure of a call in the PGDM General program, and obliviously from PGDM International Business program.
The PGDM General program is the flagship program of BIMTECH. You can take Marketing, Finance, HR or Operations as your specialization in Trimester 3. The faculties, facilities etc here are very good.
The following details are for your additional information, and may be helpful if you couldn't get through stage 2 of the PGDM General program.
International Business program is as good as the General program. In fact they get an additional flavor of International exposure, which at a times help during placements. So go through the curriculum and judge whether you are feeling interested.
The PGDM Retail Management and PGDM Insurance Business Management accepts CAT, GMAT, XAT, CMAT and MAT scores. The cutoff of CAT and XAT was around 60 percentile. The cutoff of CMAT was around 200 out of 400, but that can vary heavily due to fluctuations in the CMAT difficulty levels every year.
If you are interested in Retail Management and Insurance Business Managment. They are good courses. And if you come here and work hard, you can get better placements than even the best students of PGDM General students.
Anyway, a general suggestion would be whatever scores you have in CAT and XAT, now focus on the upcoming CMAT exam, and try and get above 95 percentile which is not that tough a task. A lot of gates will open up for you. But then the next hurdle will start, that is of Group Discussions, Essay Writing, Personal Interviews etc.
Till CMAT don't think of any of these, but immediately after CMAT start working on your the Second phase of the MBA admissions as explained by me above.

The placement in IIM A is really good with almost entirety of the batch getting placed in 2.5 days. The majority of the Jobs here are in consulting followed by finance, marketing and general management. If you academics and extra curriculars are good, it is highly likely that you will get placed on the first day itself. The average package is around 17 lacs with the highest package in India being more than 50 lacs. Before finals there is something called Laterals, where people with work experience get placed. This happens in december, while finals happen in March. Also, in your first year at IIM A, you will do a compulsory summer internship. The procedure is similar to placements, except you do an internship for two months in may and june. Sometimes, a summer internship company gives you a PrePlacement Offer, if you do well in you internship. When you get a PPO, you do not have to sit for your placements, but you can.
Regarding my work experience, I gradutaed in 2012 from IIT Bombay and got placed in a company called iRunway. I worked there for 2 years, from 2012 to 2014. iRunway is a technology consulting firm, that provides services in the IP industry. In lay men terms, my job involves evaluating patents.
