The first year of both PGDM and PGDM-BFS cover similar subjects, with some specialized topics such as labour laws for HR and bank management for BFS. However, in the second year of PGDM, students can choose a major in finance, marketing, or operations, while PGDM-BFS is mainly focused on finance but still allows for electives in other areas.
In contrast, PGDM HRM students in PGDM are taught all aspects of human resources, including labour laws and employee benefits. Therefore, PGDM offers greater flexibility to students in choosing their area of specialization, while BFS is designed specifically to prepare students for careers in bankin

As this is a common query for students, the college has decided that from batch 2018-20 onwards, the first semester will be common for all the students. They can experiment and analyse where their interest truly lies and then take a call on the specialization to pursue from 2nd semester onwards.
Personally, I would suggest Analytics & Finance as it is booming and SITM has a dedicated analytics lab by IBM. They teach all advanced analytics tools like Cognos, SPSS, Tableau and R-Programming. The students are made to undergo various industry level certifications so that they are job ready.

It depends completely on your interest. The best thing about SITM, Pune is that from batch 2018-20 onward, the first semester will be common for all the students. You can experiment and understand where your interest really lies and accordingly choose the specialization from 2nd semester.

While recruiting companies take a holistic look at profiles and past academics do have considerable weightage, however, there is no hard and fast rule as such, as far as I know.
As to which companies visit FMS, please refer to the placement report of the institute available on its official website:- www.fms.edu

B.Tech in CSE is a very good branch and has a very good scope. The placement in this branch is also huge and almost every industry needs computer engineers. Since many countries like the USA has put restrictions on working visas and many engineers settled in other countries are coming back but there is a huge IT hub is being created in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, etc. So there are good opportunities available in this course.

It's a great idea. Many students are already doing it. Unfortunately, there is no standard yardstick or standard rule. Every institution follows its own course. Normally speaking, you will have to begin at least 10 to 12 months in advance. With fee in private institutions in India offering engineering & medical education is skyrocketing, in some cases study abroad is actually cheaper than studying in India.
Best wishes.

Full-time MBA has advantages over part-time MBA because of its wider acceptance for a job, better learning opportunities and facility of campus placement. If you do not have personal reasons and conditions, you must do full-time MBA.

Hello Mitrank,
The last yea's cut off was placed between 45 to 100 depending on the category. The cutoff was declared in the month of April last year. We can expect something different this year since marks obtained in class 12th will not be counted. Be that as it may, I will advise you to aim for much more than thus since what happens in the exam is totally unpredictable. Additionally, the pattern of marks could be different since a score of only JEE Mains is going to be considered. Don't worry. appear for the exam with tension free attitude and you are bound to score better.
Best wishes.
