Your rank doesn't really assure you of getting a seat in VIT in any of the branch. However you can wait for that but also meanwhile apply for some other best private engineering colleges. It is always beneficial to have some alternates. You can check out following universities offering quality education and excellent placement records.

Since these are All India based central recruitment tests ,the Banks follow laid down norms for Placement post selection & completion of training .There are chances of getting a posting of choice but there is no certainty in it .

NPTEL is a Project funded by MHRD, Govt. of India to alleviate quality of Engineering education. Course material of top IITS is published on their site where you can learn what is taught in IITs. Please refer to http://nptel.ac.in/course.php for further details. But you will only get knowledge but no degree. Similarly MIT has open course ware which can assist you in learning.

Hello,
I will advice you to continue to a master degree after your PG Diploma. A number of universities and colleges offer what is known as lateral entry programs. You can gain entry into a master degree program after completing your PG Diploma. You can contact the concerned university to know more about this. PG Diploma programs have lesser value than a MS course also job opportunities are slightly fading for diploma holders and you will find entry level jobs in stores and malls etc.
