All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth.

- You must focus on what all you will study in each branch and choose a branch according to your area of interest and personal attributes.

The best entry course to be a software engineer is B.Tech in CS or IT after 12th. Else after 10th there's an option to go for Diploma. I'd suggest you to appear in AIEEE or IIT exam if you're in 12th and then go for B.Tech. To provide you with complete piece of information I need your qualification and present situation.
