Delhi Maritime Academy indeed offers seat reservations for specific categories of students. The following categories are eligible for seat reservations:

• Students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST)
• Students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC)
• Physically disabled (PWD) students

There are many good courses in Delhi Maritime Academy, out of these courses I personally prefer Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS).

The DNS course is 1 year long course with 18 months of sea service, students can earn a B.Sc. in Nautical Science . They are provided with certificate of competency from the ministry of shipping, government of India. With the help of this certificate students can become navigation officers on merchant naval ships  

INSD Kolkata offers Short-Term, Diploma, Certificate, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate courses in various specialisations such as Jewellery Designing, Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Vast, Pattern Making, Diamond Grading, Gemology, Navratna, Diamond Assorting, Manual Designing, and CAD Designing. Admission to all these courses is based on merit.

Admissions are open for the August 2025 session at the International School of Design (INSD). To apply, interested candidates can follow the steps below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the INSD Kolkata.

Step 2: From the menu tab, select ‘Registration Form’ under the ‘Admission’ tab.

Step 3: Fill the registration form by entering the required details.

Step 4: Upload the necessary documents.

Step 5: Submit the form by paying the fees.

All students who have passed their Class 12 board exams from a recognised board are eligible for enrolment into the BDes course offered by INSD Kolkata. Students can apply to be enrolled in INSD Kolkata by visiting the official website of the institute, filling out the registration form, and attaching all relevant documents.

The flagship course of INSD Kolkata is BDes. The institute offers a full-time BDes programme. The total tuition fee for the course ranges from INR 4.30 Lacs to INR 4.70 lakh. The BDes programme is a three-year/four-year programme, depending on the specialisation opted by the candidate. INSD Kolkata offers BDes courses across three specialisations. Admission to the BDes course is merit-based.

The highest package offered during the 2023 placement drive at INSD Kolkata stood at INR 12.20 LPA. The same is tabulated below:

No one shall be admitted to a college University Teaching Department after the expiry of one month from the last date prescribed for admission by the University, provided that a late fee of Rs. 300-shall be paid to the University up to the fifteenth day and of Rs. 400- after the fifteenth day of the permissible period.
