Yes, if we talk about National Institute of Meghalaya, there are few kind of scholarship available, basically it depends on the category from which you belong .
If you are from SC or ST category you don't need to pay any tuition fee you just have to pay hostel and mess, and apart from that, you will get government scholarship from various scheme as per my knowledge what my friends are getting is around 60-70 thousand per year so from that only you can pay your college fee.
If you are from general or OBC category then it depends on your family income, if your family is making less than 2 Lacs you don't have to pay tuition fees

1- 50% seats are reserved for students beliongs from that state that is state quota . so those people passing from meghalya will get benifit of this.

We are having a letter grading system it goes like for the grading of the students based on the performance as per the evaluation scheme and Later Grades shall be awarded. The faculty awards the grades with the highest grade SA then AA, AB and it goes like that.
