Hi,
As you have 15 Years of MBA experience I would say the most important thing you should keep in mind while deciding your specialization is your interest and why you want to do an MBA, another thing which you should keep in mind is that what area of your work in which you have experience. Keeping all these factors in mind what I feel is that your area of work is either related to operations or production, so if you want to progress in your own work area you can either go for Operations Management or Production Management. Operations Management being a traditional specialization would be available in more Institutes than Production Man

Hi Srihar,
As you have pretty good Education & professional background, I feel you should definitely go for an MBA program & as every Individual is different , so is his strengths and weaknesses so keeping in mind your own strengths and weaknesses you should decide on the time period you are going to take. However, as CAT is one of the toughest exams in India it would require atleast 6 months to a years preparation for an average student.

Hi Sandip,
Whether a defense person want to join MBA or a civilian the process of distance education will remain same. In most of the distance education Institutes there are direct admission and you just need to apply and submit your application. the eligibility for most of the Institutes is a graduation degree, few of the good distance education Institutes like IGNOU would require a recognized graduation degree and a candidate has to sit for OPEN MAT but almost all the other Institutes will have direct admission in which you require a degree and may be in some cases experience.

Hi Mayuri,
If you want to pursue a career in HR, you have to change your job and for that it may take some time as you are not in the field you want to, but my only suggestion is that you should keep on working in the field you are in and simultaneously start looking for a job in the field of your interests.
I would also request you to put some light on your education and professional background as in your field of graduation the job profile you are in etc. so that we could help you further.
Thanks,
Pooja
