Once the exams are done, IIT JAM releases separate IIT JAM cut off marks for General, OBC and SC/ST students. Cut off for IIT JAM 2019 is decided on the basis of the difficulty level of exam, number of vacancies available, total number of student appeared, previous year IIT JAM cut off and average marks obtained by candidates in IIT JAM. Based on IIT JAM Result, candidates are then admitted to Institutes according to the preference of choices filled by them in Admission Form.

Hi Dhananjay, I'd suggest giving CAT again. This will probably be your last course so it's better to go for good colleges unless you are just aiming for a CAT degree. Aim for 90+.
