There are many courses available in Computers and IT field and depending on your education background you can look for some short courses instead of going for the degree course as for it one requires to have studied science + maths in +2 level.
You can opt for short term courses in several languages that are available like C, C++, Java, .Net, PHP etc., or may take up courses in hardware/ networking like the international certifications offered by CISCO, ORACLE, NOVELL etc.

well it will depend on the no of seats and cut off narks also the no of students that appeared the test! and frankly speaking its really difficult to get admission with this rank in VIT!!!!
