Thanx @manmeet. Vijay, I am sorry to say that you have not been guided on these aspects in your college. For fresher engineers, if did not get job, pursuing MBA will forever take you away from engineering field. Right thing to do will be M.Tech. through GATE score in at least NITs or government college. If your finances permit and your degree is more than 70% marks, then get good GRE & TOEFL score to seek admission in MS. There is nothing like marine MBA. Whoever is offering this so called degree, making fool out of you. Yes, if you want to join merchant Navy, you can as it is join as graduate engineer.

** Bachelor's Degree : 4 Years of college.
** MD or DO program in Neurology : 4 Years of medical school.
** Surgical Internship : I Year.
** Residency program in Neurosurgery : 7 Years.
** Most neurosurgeons do a fellowship in order to qualify for a sub-specialty : 2-3 Years Fellowship.
** Clear the certification tests which are conducted by the State to become a licensed practitioner in India.

If ur bent upon joining the automotive industry then surely go for a BE/Btech in automobile engg, but in that case u will be restricted to automobile industry only. If u do mech engg then u can join any other sector including automotive. So it will be entirely ur choice which stream u want to select!!!!!!!!!!
