Generally, candidates opt for lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. Degree course will open more career opportunities.

Procedure :
- To take admission, you need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.
- Eligibility for admission to lateral entry course is a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the Diploma course.
