DAIT was established in 2001. Located in Gandhinagar. The institute is named after the founder of Reliance Group late Dhirubhai Ambani. The university is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC and is approved by UGC and AIU. 

Pandit Deendayal Energy University offer merit and special merit scholarship to the students. For all the students accepted as part of the BTech intake, there will be a 25% tuition price waiver. Admission to PDEU can be obtained through ACPC or All India Seats. Admissions on the NRI and TFW (tuition fee waiver) seats are exempt from this clause.
