I can totally understand your concern as I have been through the same and as a friend, I would advice for you to fill up the forms if you think that you did fairly well in the CAT exam.
The best options for a candidate getting CAT percentile between 85 to 95 are LBSIM, IMI-HR, TAPMI, FORE, BIM Trichy, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar, XIME, MFC, MHROD, IFMR, FMS-BHU, NIT Trichy, UBS, IIFM etc. as per last year cut off!
So, if you feel that you can get a percentile between 85 to 95, then you can fill up the respective institute forms.
