For cse , IT and ece . yes. but can't say about other departments. even in cse department. . You would have to give an aptitude exam now before going for campus placement. . As the no. Of students in cse department is increasing every year.

Primarily because it is an administrative headache (not an impossible task, just another painful task for people who are already overburdened)- and the people there (inside IITB) don't care as much about the issue as the people from the political parties that want the name to be changed. They really do want to do better and more productive things than to pander to the whimsical desires of politicians on this name-change brouhaha.
Either way, it isn't IIT Bombay's prerogative to change its name to whatever it wants. Considering the legal status of the IITs, any change of name has to take place through an act of Parliament as an amendmen

No Christ does not accept May MAT score. It considers only sept, Dec and Feb MAT scores with a minimum score of 600. And the admission process to ends by March, so you cannot apply with MAT May score.

Yes , the registration of GD/PI was closed but the institute has chosen to open the registration process again for certain left over seats and the last date to apply is 15 march,2016.

For OBC quota minimum CAT percentile should be 60 for call and the conversion to admission depends entirely on how you perform in GD/PI .

According to the best of my knowledge, I would like to suggest you that both BBA and B.Com have their own merits. It depends entirely on your interest before choosing either of the courses. The first session is mostly for the students who have applied in centres away from Bengaluru, though interview is the process is conducted in the city also.
The second session is only in Bangalore.
I guess it's done to reduce the number of students the panelists have to interview in a single go. The applicants are already too high, and thousands of people being tested and interviewed at a single time in few days would be too hectic.
