The first mark in each subjects is taken as 100%. If the person scores first mark 97/100 in physics. Then marks are normalized to 97. So the percentage of person scoring 90, will have a percentage (90/97)*100. CUTOFF/200 = MATHS + 0.5 * PHYSICS + 0.5 * CHEMISTRY.

Germany is a pretty great country for engineering. The courses are competitive and great. Also, the majority of the education is free there. You just have to pay for your visa and living cost. In most of the universities, the medium of lectures is German. But some of them do have English as the medium of communication. If you are considering engineering then it's a good idea to go for Germany.

I have seen the one of the worst university in my life is PDM. There are no proper equipment in their labs and faculty also not. I left the college. They also have M.Sc Microbiology course, and they don't have a lab for microbiology. So, don't think about M.Sc. But, PDM University is good for B.Tech and pharmaceutical sciences.
