Abhilash, Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering. It is also referred to as the 'mother' branch of engineering. Another appealing feature of mechanical engineering is that the application base of this field of study is extremely broad and diverse. Almost all inventions during the ancient period and a vast majority in the modern era are direct contributions of one or the other application of mechanics.
Electrical Engineering is very vast both in terms of higher studies and for immediate jobs. As the modern life is completed dependent on electrical objects, electrical engineers have a great demand in almost al

Well, there can be many aspects to be considered while choosing a branch (stream) for B.Tech. You have to choose the stream as per your interest. No branch is less or more important, each of them has its own importance, it solely depends on you, in which stream you want to make your career. SEE there are enough jobs for every stream, what a company need is quality engineers, SO if you are dead serious for your better future and giving parallel dedication towards it, you will definitely going to succeed. Ragini, your son can go for a diploma course in CSE, ECE, EE, ME, CE, Automobile etc. And a better option for him would be to join integrated Diploma B.Tech course where he save his one year as well as pressure of entrance tests.
After doing a diploma he will get direct admission in second year of B.Tech. There are many universities in India that are offering these integrated Diploma- B.Tech courses. Some of them are also offering scholarships based on percentage in previous qualification.
So, i feel instead of simply doing a diploma and then again starting with the search for a college/ university for B.Tech or doing 12th and then givin

Hi Priya,
I'll start with the last question first. MBA in finance is a good option as the world is increasingly relying on data analysis and financial cost-related problem solving. However, you need to be sure of what is it that you want to achieve through an MBA/MMS in Finance.
The placement scenario in XIMR is good enough. For finance, the average package is around 4.5-5 lakhs. We have had the package touching 10 lakhs as well. So rest assured - if you work hard, you will get good results. Companies that hire from XIMR include HDFC.
Hope this answer is helpful.
