For regular courses like UG and PG, the university does not conduct any entrance examination for admission purpose.However for P.hd. courses, every department conducts their own entrance examination. Some of the departments like Microbiology also conduct entrance examination.For UG  & PG, the admission process done purely on merit basis and the mark secured in the previous class examination.

The total no. of seats offered by DSPMU for B.Ed. course is 100.Out of the total seats,3% seats are reserved for Physically Challenge applicants as per Central Government Policy and 85% Seats are reserved for those who have passed from this university and rest are for outside candidates.The University department of B.Ed. has around 14 teachers and is well known for its rich teaching process.

Of course, the degree provided at DSPMU is 100 % valid, there should be no doubt regarding this.This is one of the best public university of Jharkhand and the degree provided are valid all over the India.The University is affiliated by the NAAC and University Grant Commission, the technical departments has also AICTE approval, so the degree are fully valid.

Official, there is no such provisions for getting direct admission at DSPMU. But in certain cases the university official may allow you to take direct admission specifically the head of department if their any seat left vacant out of the proposed seat. But to get direct admission, one should have allied must in the Chancellor portals.After then, when the normal admission process is over and seat is vacant, one can visit the HOD of the interested department and can request him/her to allow for direct admission.

The number of students is quite large at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University as because the university has various departments like P.hd., Humanities, Science, Social science, Certificate, Diploma, Commerce.The numbers will be around 10000-12000 approximately or can be more.Every department has their UG, PG and P.hd. and approximately number of students in every class is around 60 which makes a total of around 300 students in every department which contribute in the whole number of students of the university.

There are various Cultural events that takes place here at DSPMU. Every year, a grand events takes place named 'SHYAMOSTAV' which continues for around three days and various activities happens in these days. Apart from this, other festivals like Holi, Saraswati and Ganesh puja and other various festivals are also celebrated. Most of the departments here also celebrates the Fresher and Farewell party in an extensive manner. Annual day and Felicitation ceremony also happen in every year in the grand university Auditorium.

Generally admission in various courses  at  Hindu College is based on entrance exam (CUET) and merit based. Hindu college almost offers all the courses. At undergraduate level BA, BCom, BSc courses are available in all the subjects and at post graduate level MA, MCom, MSc courses are available in all the subjects. The top courses are BA Political Science honors and BA Economics honours in Arts field, BSc Chemistry honours in Science and B.Com honours.

Hindu college itself does not conduct any entrance exam. Hindu college is a part of University of Delhi. From last year CUET entrance exam is being conducted for admission to this college and various other colleges. On clearing this exam, cut off is released and based on your CUET score college is alloted. As Hindu College is one of the best colleges so if you are seeking to take admission in this college then you really have to score very good.

The number of seats vary every year and is totally dependent on the college. Each subject in M.Sc has around 50 seats. e.g. I was doing. Chemistry from Hindu college so there are almost 50 students enrolled in this course. Similarly, in M.Sc physics there are around 40-50 students. So, in total on combining all the subjects there will be around 80-90 seats. But this data varies every year.
