This would depend on your interest areas and career aspirations. In case you intend to pursue a career in Technical / Programing / research / academics area then MCA is better, However if you want to move into general management the MBA is better. Both have ample job opportunities.

Spot round is a separate round by individual IITs and you can get a seat only if it is vacant there but don't rely on that because only few IITs go for spot round as usually most of the seats get filled, though you will get to know about vacant seats when the notification will be released so keep checking their website after additional round B.
