For applying to FMS Executive MBA programme, aspirant must have minimum of 5 years of work experience. And apart from that a test, profile valuation; where your Graduation and Post Graduation marks will be counted, and combining all this, your cumulative score will be used for preparing final admission list.
For full time MBA, aspirant should be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks and should have appeared in CAT. After succesfuly clearing CAT, students who clear the minimum cut off, will be called for GDPI rounds. Last year, cut off was 98.2.

Preparing for CAT is best done with a coaching institute of good reputation like IMS and Career Launcher. You can take their classroom courses or correspondence courses to receive guidance on various aspects of preparation, sample tests, areas of improvement etc. The CAT exam largely has questions on Maths, English vocabulary and comprehension and Logical reasoning. However, if you are very busy & can not attend classes or coaching you can wish to improve your performance in English, it will help to a) read a lot of news magazines esp. on subjects you are not familiar with to improve your comprehension abilities b) work on you

Cut off's are different for different colleges of IIM's. Like:
Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad- 96%tile
Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta- 95 %tile
Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode- 90%tile
Indian Institute of Management, Indore- 90%tile
International Management Institute, Delhi- 90%tile
Their selection process depends on your overall score of 10th, 12th, graduation and overall experience. Also it depends on the seats available in each college.

Their are some collages which accept ATMA score. But It is tough to state which one is better as every institute has it's own plus and minus points. You need to check certain parameters before joining any institute such as:
*recognition.
*success rate.
*how old the institute is.
*course details.
*faculty.
*alumni feedback.
*Specialization offered.
*Past placements records.
*Tuition fees.
*City preference.
*Industry interface etc.
So, think and decide wisely.

You can take the CAT exam even if you are from Nepal, that is if you want to join IIMs. In case you do want to join IIMs then CAT is much cheaper than GMAT. The comparative GMAT scores are available online on CAT website.
