IITs and NITs are the best and first choice of any student. You can pursue Diploma in engineering, and then get admission for B.Tech in a decent college. But, if your will pursue Diploma, then you will miss the opportunity to get admission in NITs and IITs as they don't provide lateral entry admission.

We can define the career prospectus of any program with the placement. The highest package offered as international placement last year for MBA IB at Birla Institute of Management Technology was Rs.26 LPA. The package for domestic placement for the same course was Rs.10 LPA. The lowest salary package for the program was Rs.5 LPA.

Interest plays a major role in one's life, this goes with everyone. If you are not interested in something you will never be able to give your best.
Both the fields are good, make her opt for the branch that she loves the most and is most passionate about and she should analyse the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission.
She can also opt for psychometric test comprising of aptitude, personality and career interest to clear any sort of confusion.
