Hello Nityanand,
Of course, yes. In almost all the states, there is a system of admission in engineering colleges for Diploma holders as a special category called lateral admission. Here the Diploma holders are given admission directly into the second year of engineering. But the procedure is different for this in different states. In some States admission is based on the marks scored in the Diploma examination while in some others, a special entrance exam is conducted to determine the merit of the students. You will find all the information on the web page of directorate of technical education of your state.
Best wishes to you.

Your score is very low as per this year's result. Top colleges require more than the marks. You will need some extra marks for the selection to the desired college in desired course. The eligibility criteria for shortlisting candidate for top private colleges is above 90+ percentile for CMAT exams. Plus you will need to have a good background of studies for getting selected into top institute during pi round. So getting a seat in not that easy. Some private colleges to call to give the seat in their college but the colleges are not giving out placements also. Top private colleges in Karnataka and Maharashtra offer selected no. Paid sea

Hello Sajal,
Oh, getting confused? Just don't worry. It's quite common. Placements is actually a bit of complex subject. It fundamentally depends on economic and industrial climate in the country at the time of your passing out. Be that as it may, one cannot wish away the fact that IIT's followed by NIT's are the prime hunting grounds for private companies. These are followed by well-known deemed to be universities. So, I would recommend that you seek admission in this fashion. Best wishes to you.
