IFMR is much more renowned and old compared to XIME. IFMR is better for people inclined towards Finance. XIME being in Bangalore will continue to enjoy the location advantage. Do more research and try to talk to seniors or friends in both the institutes before choosing one.

IITs, some deemed universities such as Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham(Coimbatore), VIT University(Vellore), Manipal University, Bharath University, etc BioMedical Engineering B Tech Programmes. Biomedical Engineering is also offered at Model Engineering College(Kochi), Sahradaya College of Engineering and Technology(Kodakara,Thrissur) etc.

B Tech/BE is a general trend these days among mathematics wizards after their +2. B Tech or BE require strong foundation in Mathematics, you will be learning Mathematics papers up to around fifth semester in a BTech/BE programme. Since you are strong in Computer Science, B Tech/BE in Computer Science and Engineering will not be a bad idea. Other courses include B Sc in Mathematics, B Sc Computer Science or IT, BCA and so on.

You can drop a request on mail to admission/exam-conduct team of BITSAT. Also try to inform them over the phone and if the reason is genuine enough they will provide you with an alternate slot.
