The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, not the BCECE, is the main route for admission to NIT Patna. Based on JEE Main rankings, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) handles counselling and seat distribution. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination, or BCECE, is required for admission to a number of Bihar-based engineering and medical schools; NITs are exempt. However, through JoSAA counselling, aspirants from Bihar can use their JEE Main marks to get into NIT Patna. BCECE is not a regular route for NIT Patna, although certain quotas or schemes like DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) may offer other option

For a medical career in US, you must undergo a long and rigorous process which includes clearing the USMLE ( United States Medical Licensing Examination). After you have passed USMLE you can apply to the desired residency via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The final stage USMLE 3 is taken during the residency itself.
