No, IIM Ahmedabad is a government university. The IIM Ahmedabad was established in 1960. IIM Ahmedabad has been awarded a rank band of 101-151 by NIRF 2023 among the top Engineering institutes in India. NIT Jamshedpur through its 12 departments offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral-level courses. National-level exams are used to determined admission to NIT Jamshedpur undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programmes. JEE Main results are used to determined admission to B.Teach programmes, followed by JoSAA counselling. For M.Sc.  programmes, IIT JAM scores are used to determined admission, followed by CCMN counselling. The institute administers its own entrance test, the NIMCET for enrollment in the MCA programme.

The exam pattern of the TSTET (Telangana State Teacher Eligibility Test) exam is as follows:

1. The TSTET exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.

2. Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 in schools in Telangana. Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8 in schools in Telangana. Candidates can appear for both papers if they wish to teach classes 1 to 8 in schools in Telangana.

3. Both papers consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and each question carries one mark.

4. The duration of both papers is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

5. The questions in both papers are divided into five sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environment Studies.

6. The language 1 section is based on the language chosen by the candidate (Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, or Tamil).

7. The language 2 section is based on English for all candidates.

8. Candidates need to score a minimum of 60% marks (i.e., 90 out of 150 marks) to qualify in the TSTET exam. However, candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/PH categories are given a relation of 5% in the qualifying marks.

The university has not released the placement report for the year 2023. During the DPSRY placement drive 2022, more than 20 companies visited the campus. A total of 49 students were placed in top companies such as Dr. Reddy’s, PharmaAce, ZS Associates among others. Students were offered multiple roles such as Research, Pharmacovigilance, Analytics, Consulting, Ed-Tech, Marketing, Business Consulting, And HRM in Addition to the Core Pharmacist Profiles. In the year 2022, the university observed offers coming from non-technical organisations. The company offered a salary package in the range of INR 3 LPA to INR 12 LPA for PG course.

Further, placement cell could secure summer internship for 45 first year students from MBA-Pharmaceutical Management and MBAPharma Economics & Trade with organizations namely Cognitrex Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Corona Remedies and Remedo Health.

The starting weeks on campus are extremely critical for all new students. It is during this time that you make critical decisions which will have an effect on the rest of your life. These are few basic tips which you can consider :-

1. Attend the classes regularly. Atleast in your first year you must attend your classes. It will help to have good grades from the starting only. So, avoid that temptation of skipping your daily lectures.
2. You must join any college society or organizations which suits your interests. The more you get involved in campus life, more connections you will make and learn new skills.
3. Make a habit of going to the college library. There you’ll find plenty of sources for gaining precise knowledge on your subjects.
4. Just Be Yourself. You will find friends who appreciate you for who you truly are. Don’t try to become like any other person.
5. Be confident, don’t feel hesitant to try new things. College is the greatest opportunity you’ll ever have for your personal development.

P.S.- Initial year of the college life is very crucial, you learn about new things, meet new people and do lots of fun activities. So enjoy it as much as you can but with a proper balance between social and academic happenings.

The hostel rooms are old but renovation work is being carried out from 2020 and rooms are well-equipped and properly ventilated. The mess is a problem though because no fixed tender is being alloted yet it keeps on changing due to which hostellers suffer sometimes but for that tiffin services are available which are at affordable cost. The registration process for hostels is basically based on the distance of your native place from the college. The more the distance the more convenient for you to get a hostel. Though the priority is given to non Delhi students first then if there are any vacant rooms students from Delhi are considered. Basic fees of 10000 are submitted at the time of registration out of which 5000 are security fees and for the mess, the charges were 2500 for 1 quarter of the year as of last year but things might change after the complete opening of the university. If you don't get a hostel you don't need to worry there are many PGs nearby the campus within 2-3 KM.

Even if you attend college for enough time so that your professors know you. you will get good marks.And sharing from my personal experience no matter how much of a * the professor is, they will always give you enough marks so that you may pass unless if you somehow are never in the College.

If your exams goes well and you're able to score more than 40 out of 100 in exams then there's nothing to worry about.

But even then one of my friend failed and had to reappear next year when the semester exams of that semester were held.

So you better make sure you pass the first time and have a healthy relationship with your professors. They are good people and always ready to help.
