Eventhough the food that they provide in hostel as well as in college is strictly well, we can adjust upto it. In my opinion, being a hosteler will be a good decision. But it is to very much a personal opinion. There are good as well as few PGs out there. If you are a 1st year student, you can enjoy the hostel situated in ashram side itself rather than in the main boys hostel. But soon after the 1st year, you can move to the main hostel where there will be all the senior students. They did it this way just to make sure that there is no ragging for 1st year students in hostel. So, that there will be no ragging in Amrita University.

Candidate who has passed 10+2 examination with a combination of subjects from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practises, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship with 45 percent marks in aggregate (40 percent marks in the case of candidates) Non-creamy layer OBC and non-creamy layer MBC, PwD, and relaxation in cut-off percentage up to 10 percent subject to minimum eligibility requirements have been provided to Kashmiri migrants as well as Kashmiri Pandits and Kasmiri Hindu families (non-migrants) who are living in Kashmir Valley in the mentioned subjects taken together from a recognised board.
