The Institute of Company Secretaries of India is constituted to develop and regulate the profession of Company Secretaries in India. The Institute has its headquarters at New Delhi and four regional offices at Calcutta, Chennai, Delhi & Mumbai. The Institute has four Regional Councils and under their jurisdiction 36 Chapters.

While a cost and works accountant (CWA) is trained by The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI), a separate statutory body, The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), churns out company secretaries (CS).
As a CWA, you will maintain and scrutinize statutory books of accounts, prepare cash budgets, cash flow statements, do cost management planning and determine costing policy for companies, besides advising on investment and profit-planning. Good computing skills is a must for rendering services efficiently.
A CS is a vital link between the board of directors, shareholders and government and other agencies, with expertise in legal matters, securities law, capital market and corporate governance. They are responsible for all regulatory compliances of a company.
You may chose to do one, or get qualified in both the courses, increasing your skill set base and gaining a huge competitive edge in the job market.

Eligibility for this year was - Candidates applying for admission to the Two Year Full-Time MBA must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline after 12 years of formal schooling with at least 50% marks (SC/ST:- Passing marks; OBC/PwD/CW- 45%) or equivalent to CGPA, as per CAT 2014 advertisement requirement. Candidates appearing for the final year examination of Bachelor's Degree examination may also apply. Admission to MBA (Two-year Full Time)at FMS will be based on personal interview, group discussion/extempore and CAT-2014 score .FMS considers CAT score for shortlisting for further rounds. Hi Ruchi, well If you ask me, the campus is superb. To be honest, its not that big or lush green as you can find in NCR colleges, campus is located in the hearts of Delhi, So expecting very big campus in terms of space isn't right. But IMM is next door to FORE & IIFT (India's Premier B-Schools), so by that you can judge that the location is great! One can have easy connectivity of metro too.
Moreover, whole campus is equipped with A/c & wifi hotspots. in house gym, play area, labs, medical room, library and other amenities. I would request you to visit the campus & experience it. In terms of Placements: Excellent. As everyone who desires gets a job. The college holds 100% record of placements. Of course there are some who are not eligible and some doesn't appear for any interview. The highest package is around 6.3 lacs and average is 4-4.5 lacs.
Pedagogy: Core faculties are excellent in terms of knowledge. There are also visiting faculties for particular subjects. The Guest lectures and seminars are not conducted as frequently as they do in Private colleges ofcourse. The infrastructure is not up to the mark. But being a Govt. college, it is expected.
Exposure: Well, that completely depends upon you. We have alumns in almost all big names and industry. There are active student's committees. The annual fest is one of the biggest in MBA colleges in Gujarat. But saying all that, keep in mind that it is a Govt. college, not a private college so facilities and exposure will not be as good as some private ones with same level.
