Let's take the example of a laptop. The whole hardware involves ECE people. It contains motherboard, which includes a very large number of small components (resistors, capacitor, leads, amplifiers, oscillator, etc.) which come under ECE. Now, coming to the software part, it deals with CSE. All the software which are required in a laptop are designed and developed by CSE engineers and also installed by them. This is a small example.

CLAT has 5 sections having as many as 200 questions for undergraduate programmes. The questions will be objective nature with multiple-choice answer options. Candidates will need to choose the most appropriate one among the given options which they find to be correct. Each correct answer in paper will be awarded 1 mark and 0.25 marks each will be deducted for every incorrect response from the total CLAT score. Non-attempted questions will be awarded zero marks as no marks will be deducted for this. CLAT will have to answer questions from the following subjects:
