Yes, it might be possible but it is not insured. The chances of getting into your desired programme at NSHM Durgapur highly depend on the programme for which you’re applying, the number of applicants, the marks they have scored and the seats available.

Students with a minimum cut-off will get a seat in the less popular programme but still, that doesn't mean there is no hope. 70% is good but it can be challenging. It is hard to say as the cut-off fluctuates every year and different courses have different cut-offs. The admission depends on various things like the number of applicants, marks scored, cut-off and other things.

Also, admission to various NSHM Durgapur programmes has different criteria and class 12th marks might not be sufficient.  Some have merit-based admissions and some have entranced-based admissions like:

Yes. You will be happy to know that NSHM Durgapur has good placements. 

In 2022-23, 300+ companies took part in the placement drive and 95.6% of the batch got jobs in companies like Amazon, SAP and many more. Thanks to their connections, 1900+ students got jobs in the 2023 placement. This year, the highest package begged by the MBA graduate was INR 11.25 LPA and the average was INR 5.73 LPA.

Unfortunately, no B.Tech Computer Science Engineering does not have a better placement rate than B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering.

As per the 2022 Placement Report of NSHM Durgapur from their official website, the graduates of B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering begged an average CTC of INR 7.1 LPA while the students of B.Tech Computer Science Engineering received an average CTC of INR 6.8 LPA.

Both courses witness the highest CTC of INR 12.47 LPA. What’s special was the highest CTC was the same across all B.Tech programs.
