There are two ways for admission in CA course as after 10+2 and after graduation. Entry in CA course after graduation is also known as direct entry. The eligibility criteria of direct entry mode is Commerce Graduates/Post-Graduates (with minimum 55% marks) or Other Graduates/Post-Graduates (with minimum 60% marks are eligible for the course. The following are the steps in direct entry as under:-
Steps under Direct Entry Scheme for. A. Eligible Graduates and Post Graduates.
1. Register with the BOS for the Intermediate course (provisional registration allowed to the students doing Final year of graduation).
2. Successfully complete Four Weeks ICITSS before commencement of the Practical Training.
3. Register for Three Years Practical Training.
4. Appear in Intermediate Examination after nine months of Practical Training.
5. Qualify Intermediate Course.
6. Register for the Final Course after qualifying both Groups of Intermediate Course.
7. Successfully complete Four Weeks AICITSS during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for final Examination.
8. Appear in Final examination during last six months of practical training.
9. Complete Practical Training.
10. Qualify both groups of Final Course.
11. Become Member
b) Students who have passed Intermediate level examination of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
1. Register with the BoS for the Intermediate Course.
2. Complete 8 months of study course.
3. Appear and Pass in either or both Groups of Intermediate Course.
4. Successfully complete Four Weeks ICITSS any time after registering for Intermediate Course but before commencement of the Practical Training.
5. Register for Three Years Practical Training on passing either or both the Groups of Intermediate Course.
6. Register for the Final Course after qualifying both the Groups of Intermediate Course.
7. Successfully complete Four Weeks AICITSS during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for final Examination.
8. Appear in Final Examination during last six months of Practical Training.
9. Complete Practical Training
10. Qualify both groups of Final Course.
11. Become Member.

In order to get admission for M.Sc programs in IITs & IISc, The Joint Admission Test(JAM) for M.Sc is being conducted to provide admissions to M.Sc. (4 Semesters), Joint M.Sc-Ph.D, M.Sc-Ph.D, Dual Degree, etc.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates to hold a Bachelor's Degree. Candidates belonging to General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category must have at least 55% aggregate in Bachelors. The JAM syllabus of Mathematical statistic is as under:
1. Mathematics (a) Sequences and Series: Convergence of sequences of real numbers, Comparison, root and ratio tests for convergence of series of real numbers.
(b) Differential Calculus: Limits, continuity and differentiability of functions of one and two variables. Rolle's Theorem, mean value theorems, Taylor's theorem, indeterminate forms, maxima and minima of functions of one and two variables.
(c) Integral Calculus: Fundamental theorems of integral calculus. Double and triple integrals, applications of definite integrals, arc lengths, areas and volumes.
(d) Matrices: Rank, inverse of a matrix. Systems of linear equations. Linear transformations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Cayley-Hamilton theorem, symmetric, skew-symmetric and orthogonal matrices.
2. Statistics :- (a) Probability: Axiomatic definition of probability and properties, conditional probability, multiplication rule. Theorem of total probability. Bayes theorem and independence of events.
(b) Random Variables: Probability mass function, probability density function and cumulative distribution functions, distribution of a function of a random variable. Mathematical expectation, moments and moment generating function. Chebyshev's inequality.
(c) Standard Distributions: Binomial, negative binomial, geometric, Poisson, hypergeometric, uniform, exponential, gamma, beta and normal distributions. Poisson and normal approximations of a binomial distribution. (d) Joint Distributions: Joint, marginal and conditional distributions. Distribution of functions of random variables. Joint moment generating function. Product moments, correlation, simple linear regression. Independence of random variables. (e) Sampling distributions: Chi-square, t and F distributions, and their properties.

The steps involved are as follows:
1. Successfully complete an ITI certification course in Electrical, Mechanical or related trade or a Diploma Course in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Look out for Advertisements by Railway Recruitment Boards for Assistant Loco Pilot in Employment News or daily newspapers and apply.
3. You have to appear at a written test as per the specified notification.
4. Once you clear the written test, you have to undergo a psychological test.
5. The results are notified in papers or employment news and if you are successful in it you are required to undergo training for at least six months at the nominated training centers.
6. You join as an Assistant Loco Pilot after successful completion of training.
7. On gaining experience of a few years, you would to complete the Loco Shunter's course and be posted thereafter.
8. As per your turn of seniority you would be nominated for the Loco Pilot promotional course and you would be required to complete the same comprising theoretical and field training.
9. Based on the vacancies arising for the Loco Pilot's post, you would be promoted and be posted as a Loco Pilot.
10. A minimum two years of experience is required to be promoted to the next higher level.
