Both the courses are viable choices as a higher study option after B.Sc biotechnology. You should pursue a subject which you feel comfortable studying, and where your interests lie. If you are a B.Sc student in biotechnology or any other biological sciences related fields, it is highly recommended that you pursue your M.Sc. The job opportunities for B.Sc graduates in a highly research oriented field as biotechnology are very less and most students tend to pursue their M.Sc in biotechnology or a specialised discipline of biotechnology, including M.Sc genetics.
