nice to hear that u r looking for the Security line. For Security u must be having sound knowledge of LAN & Wan and for setting up of LAN and WAN u must have sound knowledge of Operating System. If u choose Linux platform for ur career then it would have been the ultimate cos most of the servers are running on Linux now a days. So better u go with RHCE and RHCSS for the Security Specialist.

Collecting degree is not enough u must have practically sound also. First of all i would like tu suggest u that whatever u r doing do it thoroughly. Clear ur fundamental concepts.
