Before starting to talk about the preparation, let's first understand what GATE is. GATE means Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, has aptitude word in its name which itself tells what this exam is all about testing the aptitude of that student.
Understand one thing that you will have all the material available to you, books, notes, classes, online tutorials, question banks, previous year questions. Whatever is required to get a good rank in GATE probably you will be having all those contents with you and so as other students too. So the question come where it is decided who will excel or not? Who will get a good rank? What is that factor? What is that benchmark?
