There's not much difference between the two. But the only main difference I can point out is that. One is for 3 years and another for 4 years. Both the courses gets similar placements . or jobs . But another difference is that government IHMs offer only BSc and not BHMCT

Based on your score and community the following are the best colleges:
PSGIM
TSM
Anna University
SSN
Comparing CEG, PSGIM and Madras University. It is better to choose either CEG or PSGIM, as Madras University does not provide the placement or training facilities as the other two college. Also, a regular MBA from Madras University is often confused with a distance MBA during interviews. Hope this helps.

It is slightly difficult but you can NIT in the 5th or 6th round in eastern states (not with very good branch). You can try for IIITs- it will be better. But if your home state is HP, WB, or Madhya Pradesh, you can get NIT easily through HS quota.
For OBC, this is a good rank and can land you to some good NIT with good branches too.
Attempt the counselling wisely with someone's advice.
Good luck.

Hi Ashish,
You can try doing your B.Tech through lateral entry from good colleges like DTU, JMI, MIT Manipal (Karnataka), and NSEC Kolkata. These are top institutions of engineering which will give you enough exposure and learning to become a good electrical engineer and help you land up in any good core electrical company.
BITS does not have lateral entry.
Best Wishes.

Hello Shruti, Let me tell you something. Our degree is only a step in the ladder of our career. It many a times has no relationship with what we achieve in life. A mechanical engineer today is COO of ICICI Bank and an Aeronautical engineer is CEO of Infosys. Hence my strong advise is to pursue that subject that course which fascinates you without thinking too much of what will happen four years from today. Frankly speaking nobody can predict future.
