You would be eligible to all available branches vit offers. The only difference is that the choice of branch in day 1 counselling close with what rank. Hello Samprita Shivanagoudar, changing colleges in 2nd year of engineering is of course possible theoretically. However in practice almost every college puts lots and lots of impediments. This is because they feel that one fees paying student is leaving them and there earning will stop to that extent. Depending upon your ranking you will be called for either phase 1 or phase 2 counselling and the category system start from the Phase 2 counselling. After all the seats in Phase 1 counselling ( 1 to 20000 rank ) are filled, phase 2 counselling starts. Some seats are left for each category with and increase in the tuition fee. The category 1 fee is generally around 1.9 to 2 Lacs per annum and the category 2 fees is about 2.5 Lacs per annum.

The cutoff rank for CSE is usually high anywhere. Following the trends of previous years VITEEE rank from 1 to 10,000 are generally admitted in CSE. So with 53K rank, it is not possible to get CSE in VIT.
