No, a candidate will not be guaranteed admission in VIT he /she clears the VIT cut off. The admission is based on not just on the cut off, but the category in which the candidate falls, difficulty level of the examination, the number of applicants who have registered themselves for the examination and the previous year trends for the cut off as well. So yes, it is safe to say that only clearing the cut off will not guarantee or admission in VIT, however scuring above the cutoff will increase your chances in doing so.

There will be a distinct VITEEE cutoff for each course, school, and category. The VITEEE 2024 cutoff will be prepared by taking into account a number of entrance exam-related parameters, including the difficulty level of the exam, the total number of candidates, and patterns from prior years' cutoffs. Note that the reserved categories may have a lower VIT cutoff than the general category. Seat allocation will take place in accordance with the relevant cutoff and preferences that were submitted during the VIT 2024 counselling.
