MBA is a two year full time post graduate program, it is a holistic program which deals with management aspects the major specialization in MBA are:
- Finance.
- Marketing.
- Human resources.
- Operations management.
In order to pursue full time MBA or PGDM program you need to be graduate in any field with atleast 50% marks in graduation, plus you need to take various management entrance test like CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, etc.
MBA degree is considered as an attractive career option as after pursuing this degree, the demand of a student in the industry goes up.
It is a degree that makes you ready for a managerial role in any chosen field, whether it is banking, medicine, travel, entertainment, export, or any other field.

Please note that MBA is a post graduate degree and is offered by universities, whereas PGDBA or PGDM is post graduate diploma and is offered by AICTE approved autonomous institutes.
Both these course have almost the same course curriculum and is equally accepted by corporates for job so you may pursue any of these course.
However if you wish to pursue Phd in future in that case you may consider pursuing MBA only.
While taking admission your emphasis should be more on taking admission in good universities or institutes.
You may consider some of the below mentioned points while selecting a institute or university to pursue MBA or PGDM or PGDBA program:
- Accreditation of the institute.
- Institute's infrastructure.
- Teaching faculty.
- Specialization offered.
- Past placements records.
