Both the courses have equal values. MBA is a degree course provided by institutes affiliated to any universities and PGDM is a autonomous diploma course provided by institutes and this program is approved by AICTE. Some good managemnt colleges are- XLRI, ICFAI, WLCI, MDI, IMT.

The syllabus for mba nd mib entrance test is similar to that of any entrance exam for mba. It consists of questions on mathematical abilities, english comprehension and grammar, logical reasoning, data interpretation and general awareness.
I must tell you that the entrance exam is followed by GD and PI.

Please note that MBA is a post graduate degree and is offered by universities, whereas PGDBA or PGDM is post graduate diploma and is offered by AICTE approved autonomous institutes.
Both these course have almost the same course curriculum and is equally accepted by corporates for job so you may pursue any of these course.
However if you wish to pursue Phd in future in that case you may consider pursuing MBA only.
While taking admission your emphasis should be more on taking admission in good universities or institutes.
