That's a very interesting question. It reminds me of a story, a true story. When I was studying and ready to kick start my career I had two options – Law or Journalism. But my parents thought of something else, something which gives a comfortable life and good money. My friends were very intelligent and were preparing for entrance exams, while my heart wanted to get associated to writing. Caught amidst all this, I decided to listen to my heart and enrolled for journalism. Of course there was opposition from home and I was very anxious as I had no clue of the prospects.
Most students go through this, take a career on their parents' or friends' behest, end up in something they don't know about or just follow the herd. At such moments you need an experienced friend to discuss things with. Shiksha knows that people have different qualities and there is no set formula for all. So it plays the role of bringing that friendly expertise to the students.
