The authorities will offer scholarships to WBJEE candidates under the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme. Candidates who have performed well in their academics and have secured good scores in WBJEE will be eligible for the scholarships. The details regarding the scholarship schemes will be released online by the authorities. Candidates are advised to check the scholarship details carefully to know if they are eligible for the exam or not.

The requirements for admission to the B.A. (Hons) and Diploma degrees differ. The majority of the courses require a minimum of 50% overall in the best five examinations of the 12th grade Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent test. Nonetheless, the minimum score required for several subjects in the 12th standard or its equivalent is 45%. Candidates ought to wait to apply until they are certain they meet the requirements for the course they have chosen. Applicants may also apply for the Jamia Millia Islamia entrance exam even if their final year or semester results are still pending.

WBJEEB commenced the WBJEE counselling 2023 on July 20. The official WBJEE 2023 counselling dates have been announced. The authorities conducted two rounds of WBJEE counselling along with a mop-up round. Through the counselling process, the qualified candidates were able to select their choice of colleges and courses in the order of preference. Seat allotment was done based on the candidate's preferences, rank and seat availability.

WBJEE GMR is the General Merit List released by WBJEEB for admission to all the courses available in all enlisted Engineering and Technology Colleges and Universities within the state of West Bengal. The list will be prepared based on the candidate scores obtained in all the subjects (i.e. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in WBJEE 2025. Ranking in the GMR WBJEE merit list will be prepared in descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects as stated above. However, there may also be ties and in such cases, the tie breaking rule shall be applicable for determining the merit rank.

WBJEE is conducted offline as a pen and paper-based test. Candidates will have to report at the exam centres and answer the questions in an OMR paper. The WBJEE question paper consists of 155 multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The total duration of the examination is 4 hours. WBJEE question paper is divided into three categories: Category I (only one answer option is correct), Category II (only one answer option is correct) and Category III (one or more answer options are correct).
