For getting admission in NIT, Rourkela or in any NIT whether you belong to Odisha or not, you have to pass and score good marks in JEE Mains. Only board marks are not enough. Board marks are just for eligibility not for giving you a seat in NIT.

The minimum cutoff or score can only be confirmed after the first round the counselling process. If you have appeared and qualified for the entrance exam of KCET, then you are eligible to participate in the counselling. So wait till then. Best of luck.

Sujeet KumarPreparing for UPSC CSE 2021

Guide-Level 15

First of all, it's very hard to guess about the EWS cutoff, because it's a new category. Second thing is that it is only 10 % of total seats in NIT and IIIT, which means near about 3 thousands seats. And your rank is 13 thousand, so it is quite hard to get seat even in this category but yes you can try for NIT, because no one knows how cutoff will go until and unless the cutoff come. You can try for GFTI colleges at this rank.
