Admission for undergraduate courses (BBA, B.Com, and B.Sc.) is based on merit for your Class 12 marks. At the postgraduate level (MA and M.Com), merit is an important part of the selection process, but qualifying for an interview will take into account the merit score, score on an entrance exam to qualify for the interview, and other factors such as performance in group exercise and/or personal interview. You should give yourself time to prepare for a potential personal interview. For admission to PGDM, you need scores from any national level (CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, or ATMA) entrance exam and qualifying for an interview will be based on a combination of your score on the national entrance exam, performance in the group discussion/exercise, and if applicable to your program, personal interview. Finally, the institute has a reservation policy and will accept online applications. At Mahendra Institute of Management and Technical Studies, eligibility is based on the course. For undergraduate programmes like BBA, B.Com and B.Sc, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 45 percent marks. For postgraduate programmes like MBA, PGDM, M.Com and MA, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree with 50 percent marks. Some PG programmes also consider entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT or CMAT followed by group discussions and interviews. The institute gauges candidate's academic performance, communication skills, and overall personality. Other candidates in the reserved category may obtain relaxation in marks.
