for commerce graduates, it is always preferred to have MBA in finance as it is based on accounting which is the core of commerce. But for people who want to work in dubai afterwards, it is advised to get MBA in infrastructure or construction management which is more aligned to its economy.

well the CSAT consists of aptitude and general awareness tests.
for quantitative aptitude and data interpretation, just finish off R S Agarwal
for verbal ability, Arun Sharma is the best book
for general awareness, keep following newspapers, Chronicle and spectrum is the best book.
Besides all this, it would be better if you join some coaching classes like RAUs, Chanakya, Nirvana etc which will not only help you prepare but also counsel you well.

If you want a position of power, better to go for IAS. The choice between MTech and MBA depends on your interests. If you feel interesting to work on what you have learnt uptil now, its better to go for MTech. But the only problem, I see in this is that one needs to keep himself updated with latest technologies, innovation etc. If one has good analytical, communication and presentation kills, it is better to go for MBA. This domain is characterised by high salaries, more command etc.

Yes you can take a break form your job to do MBA through regular mode of education. But before doing that I suggest you seek permission from your employer to do so and find out if there is any provsion in the company to allow 'leave without pay' for higher education. If it is not then you may find out if you can be absorbed in the same company after completing your MBA. If that is also not confirmed then before opting to leave the job for MBA you need to be quite certain that with MBA you will be able to get a better job quicker.
