The eligibility criteria at Tumkur University for MBA is a minimum of 50 percentage in graduation and a good score in PGCET conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority).

Tumkur University in actuality is cheaper than KIT TIPTUR.
One must note, that KIT is a private Institute unlike the other which is a government institute, therefore the obvious diffences in fee structure will be visible.
KIT goes upto 3.6lacs while Tumkur University goes upto 1.2lacs

The selection process is standard even in Tumkur University for MBA, once one gets his or her score at KMAT, that score must be deserving of selection.
A minimum of 75 percentage will be safe product to have with yourself to crack through Tumkur University.

Well Tumkur University is arguably the best in Tumkur, however there are private colleges like KIT TIPTUR, which is older than Tumkur University and both are in Tumkur.
I would suggest KIT over Tumkur University, though the fee is a little higher, it is still worth the penny.
The placements there is better, infrastructure is of high quality and the service provided there is way better than the other.

It wouldn't be wrong to assume KIT TIPTUR could offer better placements than Tumkur University, KIT TIPTUR is much more reputed than the other, and of course it's a private institution running for years, perhaps much older than Tumkur University.
The average salary package in Tumkur University is around 7.2 lacs, while the recent data on KIT TITPUR suggests that the average package there is 12 lacs per annum the highest, 70 to 80 percent students for placed the previous year, companies that visit and are expected to visit are top notch companies like TCS, TATA etc.

Admissions in Tumkur University interestingly is both merit based and entrance based depending on the course one chooses or intends to do or pursue.
Course like MBA and MCA it is merit based, one can clear or score well in the Karnataka PGCET by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority).
However for courses like PhD, it is strictly entrance based.
