Anurag, there is nothing like internship for engineering students like medical students. After 6th semester, you are supposed to do industrial training for which BSNL, Doordarshan and CRISP like government departments conduct Industrial training courses. There is another word for engineering graduates which is known as "apprenticeship". It is offered to fresher graduates by government & PSU organizations like HAL, BHEL and electricity boards. Usually it is for one year period and a stipend of Rs. 3000 to 4000 is given during this period.
