If you have completed Diploma in any branch, then you have to apply for lateral entry counseling in Anna University. Only few places are available per branch. If you get good percentage, then it will very easy to join any college of your choice. Anna university will conduct lateral entry counselling after conducting regular students admission, so you might probably join one and half month later than, the regular class for second year had completed. Secondly you will get only few seats left in each branch, so the higher your score higher is your probability of getting seats in top colleges. Third important information is, you will be asked to join in the college the very next day after your counselling, so be prepared for that. Since you already are one and half month late to college, don't make further delays. That's the time phase where every important basics will be covered in class.
